Drunk Woman Crashed Into Parked Car, DA Says

By Nicholas Rizzi | January 19, 2017 4:30pm

OAKWOOD — A woman was arrested for drunken driving after she crashed into a parked car, prosecutors said.

Josephine Boscarello, 23, was driving her 2009 Pontiac when she crashed near Tysens Lane and Finely Avenue on Sunday about 8 p.m., according to her criminal complaint.

Boscarello got out of the car and ran away, but was eventually caught by police.

Officers said she had alcohol on her breath, slurred speech and told them "I had a few beers" when they arrested her, according to the complaint.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and driving while ability impaired at her Tuesday arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

Her bail was set at $1,000, according to online court records.

Boscarello's lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
