MIDTOWN — A man has been stealing thousands of dollars worth of cologne and perfume from pharmacies across the city, police said Wednesday.

The bandit first struck a Duane Reade on East 42nd Street on Nov. 29 when he swiped various perfumes from a display rack.

He then robbed fragrances from six more pharmacies in the East Village, Murray Hill, Ridgewood and Greenpoint from Nov. 30 through Jan. 10, when he broke a lock on a shelf in a Rite Aid at 783 Manhattan Ave. in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.

Police described the suspect as about 40 years old, 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and burgundy-colored winter hat.
