VIDEO: Robbers Tackle Man to the Ground in Broad Daylight, Police Say

THE BRONX — A pair of robbers chased down a man in Claremont Village, flung him to the ground and stole his cellphone, NYPD officials said.

In video released Wednesday morning, the two suspects pursue the 54-year-old man to the front of 1500 Boone Ave., near East 172nd Street, and attacking him about 4:40 p.m. Dec. 30, police said.

They grabbed him from behind, dragged him to the ground where they punched him before snatching a phone from his left hand, police said.

The suspects, who are in their 20s, then fled and hadn't been arrested as of Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention, police said.
