BROOKLYN — A person was injured while driving over a manhole that suddenly exploded in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Tuesday night, an FDNY spokesman said.

The person, whose identity wasn't immediately released, was hurt near Bedford Avenue and Fulton Street about 7:48 p.m., the spokesman said.

The person was treated at Kings County Hospital for minor injuries, officials said.

It wasn't immediately clear if the person was the driver or if others were in the vehicle.
