Burglar Breaks Into Astoria Salon By Smashing Glass Door, Police Say

ASTORIA — A man smashed the glass door of a beauty salon in Queens to steal cash from the register inside, according to the NYPD.

The suspect broke into Dawa Threading Salon, located on the second floor of a building on 30th Avenue near 31st Street, by shattering the door at its entrance sometime around 4 a.m. on Dec. 17, police said.

Once inside, the man — who was caught on surveillance video walking around the salon — stole $350 from the cash register, police said.
