LOWER MANHATTAN — A man and woman stole more than $1,500 worth of underwear from the Westfield World Trade Center mall's Victoria Secret on New Year's Day, police said.

According to a police report, a woman grabbed a variety of underwear and headed into a fitting room at about 5:15 p.m.. in the 185 Greenwich St. store. About 30 minutes later, a man walked into her changing room, saying: "Honey, give me your bags so I can meet up with mom."

The woman then left the store and soon after, employees realized the couple had taken underwear worth $1,667.

Police were still investigating the incident.
