BROOKLYN — A man was seriously injured after jumping in front of an R train at the 86th Street station in Bay Ridge Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The man leapt in front of the oncoming train at about 1:18 p.m., the FDNY and MTA said.
Emergency responders turned off power at the station before removing the victim from under the train and taking him to Lutheran Medical Center.
R service was running at the station with delays by 2:50 p.m., according to the MTA.
