BROOKLYN — Police are asking for help finding three robbers who have targeted older victims in Coney Island over the last six weeks, viciously assaulting them before making off with cash and other goods.

The first incident occurred Nov. 30, when they approached a 61-year-old woman who was about to enter a building on West 33rd Street around 9:30 a.m. They snatched her purse containing an LG phone and $6 in cash, the NYPD said.

On Dec. 19, they punched a 68-year-old man outside an apartment building on West 33rd Street, knocking him unconscious. They removed $120 in cash from his wallet before fleeing, police said.

On Dec. 27 around 3:10 p.m., they attacked a 78-year-old man inside an apartment building on West 30th Street and ran off with $160 in cash, a Metrocard, bank card and other items, the NYPD said.

Two days later, they pushed an 82-year-old woman on Mermaid Avenue and West 35th Street from behind around 11:30 a.m. before stealing her pocketbook holding $350 in cash, police said.

Less than an hour later, they kicked a 62-year-old woman outside a West 33rd Street apartment building before fleeing empty handed, the NYPD said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
