CHELSEA — A Greek diner that boasted the “best burger in NYC” has shuttered after more than 35 years.

The Greek Corner Coffee Shop Diner, at the northwest corner of West 28th Street and Seventh Avenue, shuttered on New Year’s Eve, a sign hanging on its door reads.

The eatery served Greek cuisine and diner fare at the location for nearly 37 years, the sign read.

Its owners plan to open a new Greek restaurant called Blue Door Souvlakia on Third Avenue in Bay Ridge soon, according to the sign and the business’ Facebook page.

Management did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.

The diner was rumored to in danger of closing this past spring, according to Jeremiah’s Vanishing New York, which first reported the news.

The blog was told the building either had been sold or “might” be sold.

Property records do not indicate that a sale has taken place, and the building’s owner couldn’t be reached for comment.
