Bank Robber Makes Off With $1K From Chase Branch in Queensboro Plaza: NYPD

LONG ISLAND CITY — A man robbed a local Chase Bank and made off with $1,000, according to the NYPD.

The suspect walked into the 25-15 Queens Plaza North bank around 11 a.m. Wednesday and handed the teller a note demanding cash, police said.

The teller handed over the cash and the man fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect is described as being around 45 years old, standing 5-foot-8, weighing 190 pounds with a beard, and was wearing a striped hat, blue sweater and black sneakers, according to police.
