WILLIAMSBURG — A stranger tried to force his way into a woman's Lorimer Street apartment and pulled a knife on the occupant as she screamed at him to get out, police said.

The woman, 27, was inside her home close to the intersection with Scholes Street when the man opened her front door around 1 p.m. on Dec. 29, police said.

She yelled at him to leave several times before the man pulled out a knife, police said.

"You are not the police," the man said before running out of the building and heading south on Lorimer Street, police said. He was described as blond with curly hair.

Nobody had been arrested as of Wednesday morning. No one was injured during the incident and no valuables were taken from the woman's apartment, according to police.
