STATEN ISLAND — A woman who grabbed attention by crawling through the Staten Island Mall while fastened to a leash has been reported missing, police said.

Anna Teshu, 23, of Mariners Harbor, was reported missing on Dec. 27. She was last seen at her mother's Hillman Avenue home at 10:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, the NYPD said.

In 2015, photographs were posted online of Teshu wearing a leash and walking on all fours while her fiancè led her around the Staten Island Mall.

Images of the duo on Hylan Boulevard and of Teshu getting a drink from a fountain with a dog were also posted on Instagram.

In October 2015, she was arrested after her fiance's German Shepherd, Scout, died of heat stroke after being locked in a car on a 91 degree day, the Staten Island Advance reported.

She was charged with animal cruelty, but was later found mentally unfit to stand trial, according to the Advance.

Police described Teshu as 5-foot-4 and 140 pounds with brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, shirt and boots.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
