NEW YORK CITY — Two firefighters were arrested for driving while intoxicated in separate incidents over New Year’s weekend, the NYPD said.

One of the firefighters, 30-year-old Carlton Wilson, was arrested after crashing into a car parked at East 90th Street and Park Avenue at 8:49 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

The collision caused the parked car to hit two other unoccupied cars, and Wilson had to be removed from the driver’s seat by emergency responders, authorities said.

He was taken to an area hospital, but the extent of his injuries was not immediately clear.

Wilson was charged with DWI and refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, police said.

Then, at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Gregory Beaubron was spotted by a police officer speeding west in a 1996 Lexus on the Belt Parkway near Pennsylvania Avenue in East New York, driving 70 miles per hour when the speed limit is 50, police said.

After pulling Beaubron over, the officer noticed he had bloodshot, watery eyes and alcohol on his breath, according to officials.

He had a blood alcohol level of .075 percent, just under the state limit of .08, but was still charged with a DWI, police said.

When asked about the charge, the NYPD referred questions to the Brooklyn District Attorney's office, which could not immediately be reached Monday.

Beaubron was also charged with speeding and driving while ability impaired, police said.

The FDNY did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
