Woman Thrown in Trash Can During Argument at Bronx Store, Police Say

THE BRONX — A woman was thrown into a garbage can after arguing with another woman inside a Morrisania Street store, the NYPD said.

Kate Robinson, 23, was arguing with the 61-year-old victim inside of 486 E. 169th St. at about 8 p.m. on Dec. 11, when she threw the older woman against a wall and picked her up off the ground before dumping her into a garbage can, authorities said.

The victim briefly lost consciousness when she landed on the ground, just before Robinson tossed her into the trash can, PIX11 reported.

The 61-year-old told police she felt pain after the attack but refused medical attention, and Robinson fled the scene, officials said.

It wasn't immediately clear which store the incident occurred in, authorities said.

Police released a surveillance image of Robinson, who lives in Highbridge, the NYPD said.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
