WILLIAMSBURG — Not a great first date.

A woman out with a suitor whom she'd just met drifted off to sleep during a movie they were watching at a neighborhood theater, waking up shocked to find both her date and her belongings were gone, police said.

The 22-year-old had met up with her date, whom she couldn't describe to police, at a train station near the Williamsburg Cinemas at 217 Grand St. on Dec. 23, and fell asleep around 10 p.m., according to police.

When the woman awoke from her slumber, she found her bank cards, $50 in cash, he passport and a $115 Louis Vuitton wallet were missing — with her date nowhere to be found, police said.

In an email, a worker at the movie theater said that her date had later returned her wallet but declined to comment further. Police couldn't immediately confirm that.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday, police said.
