MIDTOWN — A bandit robbed a bank on Park Avenue South Tuesday, police said.

The suspect strolled into the Capital One Bank branch at 470 Park Ave. South, at East 32nd Street, at about 4:20 p.m., where he passed a note to a teller demanding cash, police said.

The teller obeyed and forked over about $1,000 to the thief, who made off with the cash and fled southbound on Park Avenue South, according to an NYPD spokesman.

Security footage of the suspect, whom police described as being between 50 and 60 years old and standing about 6 feet tall, captured him walking calmly in and out of the bank before and after committing the robbery.

Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit tips on the website.
