SUNNYSIDE — A man arguing with a fellow straphanger aboard the 7 train punched a bystander in the face for recording the altercation with his phone, according to police.

The assailant was fighting with another rider around 10 p.m. Thursday when he noticed a 45-year-old man who was filming the verbal dispute on his cellphone, police said.

The suspect then ran across the subway car and punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground and causing bruising to his head and right arm, according to the NYPD.

Both men got off the train at the 46th Street station, where the victim called 911. The attacker left the station accompanied by an unidentified woman, police said.

He's described as between 18 and 20 years old, 6 feet tall and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a long white jacket, police said.
