STATEN ISLAND — A man was arrested for shooting two people on Staten Island this month including a rapper affiliated with the Wu-Tang Clan, prosecutors said.

Joendy Gomez, 22, was charged with shooting a man inside a New Brighton deli then, days later, firing at rapper Solomon Childs, whose real name is Walbert Ryan Dale, in front of a shoe store, the Staten Island Advance first reported.

Childs, the older brother of Wu-Tang Clan member Cappadonna, was outside Ozinco clothing store at 1418 Forest Ave. on Dec. 10 when Gomez shot him in the neck and back, according to his criminal complaint.

Childs was taken to Richmond University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, the Advance reported.

On Dec. 8, Gomez walked into the deli at 506 Richmond Terrace with Linc Omaro and another person and shot a man in the arms and legs inside, prosecutors said.

He was previously arrested three times this year for marijuana and gun possession, according to online court records.
