TRIBECA — Before all those needles dry up — here's a chance to give your Christmas tree some new life.
Grab your tree (make sure all lights and ornaments have been taken off) and head to Bogardus Garden, at West Broadway and Reade Street from Dec. 31 through Jan. 8 for recycling. The tree will later be churned into mulch that will help nourish trees and plantings across the city as part of the city's annual Mulchfest.
If you'd actually like to watch the tree get chipped up, and take home a bag of mulch yourself, stop by Washington Square Park or Tompkins Square park with your tree from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 7 and Jan. 8.
