MIDTOWN — Trump Tower was briefly evacuated Tuesday after reports of a suspicious package that ultimately turned out to be an unattended bag, officials said.

The NYPD Bomb Squad deemed the bag to be safe shortly after the building was evacuated. Police said the bag was filled with children's toys.

Twitter user @cielo_celest posted video showing people running toward the doors of the Fifth Ave. tower block with police directing them out of the lobby. The evacuation started roughly around 4:30 p.m.

"I was working in the stock room and I saw people yelling and running and they just said 'You gotta get outta here now,'" a building employee told DNAinfo New York.

People were pushed south by the police , at least a block away on Fifth Avenue.
