By Katie Honan | December 26, 2016 3:04pm

THE BRONX — Police have released surveillance video after an elderly man was threatened with a knife, while his home attendant was tied up in the bathroom, during a robbery in Melrose last week.

Three unidentified suspects forced their way into the 87-year-old man's home near Elton Avenue and 157th Street at 9:50 a.m. on Dec. 20, police said.

They then threatened the man with a knife after tying up his home attendant in the bathroom.

The robbers then took $10,000 in cash from the victim's home and fled, police said.

Surveillance video showed the three suspects after leaving the victim's home. Their faces are not clear in the footage, but one suspect was seen walking away with a large box.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
