GREENPOINT — Three armed police impersonators cut off their victim's car at a red light, flashed their weapons and then carjacked a Brooklyn man and stole his cash and earrings, police said.

The 35-year-old driver passed the men two diamond earrings worth $2,000 and got out of his vehicle as he was ordered to do at 4:21 a.m. near the intersection of Driggs Avenue and North 11th Street on Nov. 21, police said.

He also surrendered $500 cash and an iPhone, police said.

Two of the three men then jumped into his 2016 white Land Rover, and drove off on Driggs Avenue, police said. As of Wednesday the car has still not been found, police confirmed, and no one was injured in the stickup.

When asked why information about the three suspects took a month to release, a police spokesman said they'd put the information out as soon as the detective squad provided it to them.

It wasn't immediately clear why detectives had taken a month to track down the videos.

Anyone with information can call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
