STATEN ISLAND — Martin Scorsese's nephew was arrested after he tried to kick his way into a West Brighton home with a knife, prosecutors said.

Frank Scorsese, 41, whose father Frank Sr. is the brother of the famous "Goodfellas" director,  was caught on camera trying to break into an East Raleigh Avenue home on Friday, according to a criminal complaint.

Scorsese was carrying a knife when he went to the home at about 6:05 p.m. and began to kick the door, prosecutors said.

He broke the locked screen door and did more than $250 worth of damage to the interior door before the homeowner confronted Scorsese and he ran away, according to the complaint.

Scorsese never got into the home, prosecutors said.

He was arrested nearby less than an hour later and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief at his Sunday arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said. His bail was set at $20,000.

Scorsese was previously arrested on Nov. 24 and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the DA said. He also pleaded guilty to selling heroin to undercover officers in 2014.

His lawyer did not want to comment for this story.
