MANHATTAN — One person was seriously hurt when a fire broke out inside the Upper West Side's New York Institute of Technology Sunday night, an FDNY spokesman said.
The fire broke out at about 10:30 p.m. on the 10th floor of the school at 1855 Broadway, near West 61st Street, officials said.
One person, whose identity was not released, was seriously hurt and treated at an area hospital, officials said. They were listed in stable condition.
About 106 firefighters brought the blaze under control by 11:30 p.m., officials said.

New York Institute of Technology officials didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
