LOWER EAST SIDE — A man suffered serious head injuries after being hit by an Escalade SUV Monday morning, FDNY and NYPD officials said.
The 62-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately released, was crossing the intersection at Allen and Grand streets when he was hit about 6:30 a.m., officials said.
He was treated at Bellevue Hospital, officials said.
The 53-year-old driver remained on the scene and wasn't immediately arrested or ticketed, police said.
