Snag an $822 Per Month Studio Apartment in Claremont

CLAREMONT — Bronxites can snag a studio apartment for as little as $822 per month at a new affordable housing complex in Claremont.

Compass Residences 2B, located at 1544 Boone Ave., has 114 newly built affordable housing units available for households of up to six people making between $29,520 and $63,060 per year, or 60 percent of Area Median Income.

The building consists of 22 studios for $822 per month, 35 one-bedrooms for $882 per month, 42 two-bedrooms for $1,065 per month and 15 three-bedrooms for $1,224 per month.

Eligible residents of Bronx Community Board 3, municipal employees, and people with mobility, visual or hearing disabilities will receive preference for a percentage of the units.

Prospective tenants can apply online at nyc.gov/housingconnect or via mail by sending a self-addressed envelope to Compass Residences Two B, P.O. Box 580, New York, NY 10030. Applications must be submitted online or postmarked by Feb. 7, and selected applicants will be invited to an interview to further determine their eligibility.

Compass Residences 2B is being built through the city's Extremely Low and Low Income Affordability Program and the state's Homes for Working Families Program.
