Early Morning Fire Destroys Staten Island Home, FDNY Says

PORT RICHMOND — A vacant two-story Staten Island home caught fire early Friday morning, officials said.

The home at 108 Taylor St. was reported on fire at about 4:18 a.m. and 106 firefighters responded to the blaze, the FDNY said.

It was put out at about 6:18 a.m., fire officials said.

One person was injured in the blaze but refused medical attention on scene, the FDNY said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
