LOWER MANHATTAN — Two men stole nearly $1,500 worth of Gillette razors and Crest teeth whitening strips from a Downtown Duane Reade that has become something of a regular target for shoplifters, police said.

The two thieves had a key that allowed them to unlock a case that holds the store's razors, and swiped more than 40 of the Gillette brand blades on Dec. 10 at 1:30 p.m, police said.

The men also took 13 packs of Crest Whitestrips, worth a total of $586 dollars, before leaving the 250 Broadway store.

Police were still investigating the incident.
