WATCH: Antique Toy Trains Whiz Through New-York Historical Society

UPPER WEST SIDE — A carousel, steam ships, cannonballs and moving locomotives are all part of an new exhibit that recreates a bygone era with antique miniatures. 

"Holiday Express: Toys and Trains from the Jerni Collection" unfolds on the first floor of the New-York Historical Society with hundreds of pieces from the famous antique toy collection of Jerry and Nina Greene.

Exhibit curator Mike Thornton took DNAinfo New York through the exhibit, pointing out what makes the collection so remarkable and enchanting. 

The exhibit runs through Feb. 26, 2017, at the museum on Central Park West at West 77th Street.
