THE BRONX — Police are asking for help finding a couple who beat a woman in front of her children in a Claremont Village subway stop.

A 38-year-old mom walked up to a turnstile with her two children at the East 170th Street and Grand Concourse D-train stop Oct. 13 about 7:30 a.m., police said.

A man asked her if she wanted to purchase a MetroCard swipe, but she declined and entered using her own card, the NYPD said.

She then tried to open the emergency gate for her kids to enter, but was blocked by another woman, police said.

An argument ensued, and the male and female pair punched the mom in the face and body and pulled her hair, according to the NYPD.

The children weren’t hurt. The woman was taken to Harlem Hospital for treatment.

The male attacker is described as about 30 years old, about 5-foot-10 and between 170 and 190 pounds, according to police.

The female suspect is believed to be in her 20s, about 5-foot-6 and 120 to 140 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
