Man Forcibly Kissed then Kicked Woman at Canal St. Station, NYPD Says

CHINATOWN — A man forcibly kissed a woman near the turnstiles in the Canal Street subway station before throwing her to the ground and kicking her, police said.

The suspect approached the 34-year-old victim from behind at 3:25 a.m. on Nov. 19. on the platform of the J train then pinned her against a turnstile, grabbed her by the neck and forcibly kissed her, police said.

He then threw the woman to the ground and kicked her in the stomach and back. The victim refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect, describing the man as having short brown hair, standing around 5-foot-10 and weighing 175 pounds.
