BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A new co-working space is slated to open to freelancers and entrepreneurs on the border of Bedford-Stuyvesant and Bushwick.

The owners of Bklyn Commons, which rents out office space, plan to launch a second location on Broadway near Marcus Garvey Boulevard in 2017, according to CEO Jack Srour.

The company will lease 30,000 square feet at 774 Broadway, building out conference rooms, desks and offices on half of the second floor and the full third and fourth floors of the property, Srour said.

“We saw that Brooklyn is evolving and our first location was so successful that it was a good fit for us," he said. "We felt like it was a no-brainer.”

Bklyn Commons opened at the Prospect-Lefferts Gardens clocktower building at the end of 2015, located above the Phat Albert discount shop on Flatbush Avenue.

The new Bed-Stuy spot will be housed above another one of the bargain store’s branches, which occupies the ground floor.

News of the planned opening was first reported by The Real Deal.

Up to 250 people can utilize the space, Srour said, and the company anticipates completed construction by June 2017. Some of the floors may open earlier with pre-sales starting as early as March, he said.

Tenants can rent desks for $300-a-month with 24/7 access, WiFi, printer services and a stocked-kitchen, conference room and other amenities. Other options include meeting rooms for $20-an-hour, or private offices.

The Broadway location will also have a roof deck, Srour said.
