Bespectacled Woman in Black Tries to Rob UES Bank, Police Say

YORKVILLE — A woman dressed all in black tried to rob a Chase Bank on Monday, but walked away empty-handed, according to the NYPD.

The suspect walked into the Chase Bank at 244 E. 86th St., at Second Avenue, and slipped a note to a bank teller demanding money at 4:45 p.m., police said.

When the teller walked away from the window, the would-be-thief left the bank without any cash, police said.

The suspect is described as a woman in her 30s, last seen wearing glasses, a black knit cap, a black jacket and black gloves.
