MIDTOWN — Police released a sketch of a suspect who assaulted an MTA worker who was wearing a hijab after calling her a “terrorist” at Grand Central Terminal.

The 45-year-old worker was on a 7 train when the man told her to “go back to your country” Monday morning, according to police. He then followed her into the terminal, made anti-Muslim remarks and pushed her to the ground.

A good Samaritan scared the man off and the worker was treated for a minor leg injury.

Police described the suspect as between 25 to 35 years old, 5-foot-9 to 6-feet tall, and last seen wearing a dark jacket and black-knit hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
