BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Get in the holiday spirit with family-friendly celebrations along Fulton Street this week.

The neighborhood’s annual tree-lighting festivities kick off at 5p.m. Friday at the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation’s West Plaza, followed by Fulton Park’s event at 7 p.m.

The Bed-Stuy Gateway BID will hosts its free celebration for the fourth year in a row at Restoration Plaza, featuring actor and comedian Flex Alexander from the TV series “One on One.”

Music will fill the plaza from R&B group Good Girl and jazz singer Brenda Rudzinski, along with other local acts, organizers said. Children can get their photos taken with Santa and take home free gifts.

At 7 p.m. Friday, community groups and elected officials will gather at Fulton Park, located on Fulton Street near Stuyvesant Avenue, for its 17th annual tree lighting.

The 22-foot tree will be twinkling as students from the Brooklyn Waldorf School perform, along with a local string ensemble and a dance group from the Dwana Smallwood Performing Arts Center.

Attendees can listen to a reading of “The Night Before Christmas” and enjoy music, free snacks and drinks.

Kids up to age 14 get a gift from Santa, organizers added.
