Thief Posing as Valet at Roxy Hotel Steals Couple's Car, Police Say

TRIBECA — A fake valet took a couple of hotel guests for a ride last week.

While with his wife, a man handed off the keys for their 2014 Infiniti sedan to a person posing as a car valet inside the Roxy Hotel lobby, at about 7 a.m. on Nov. 25, police said.

The thief, a man described as about 5-foot-10, quickly drove off with the car from the 2 Sixth Ave. hotel.

The NYPD is still investigating the theft.
