Woman Mugged in Perry Street Apartment Building, Police Say

WEST VILLAGE — A woman was robbed of her purse in the vestibule of her Perry Street apartment building, police said Wednesday. 

Police said the woman, 22, and a man entered the building about 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24.

The man snatched the woman's purse and fled east on Perry Street, police said. 

The woman was not reported as being injured, according to the NYPD.

Police on Wednesday released photos of a suspect in the incident, and described him as approximately 29 years old, 5-foot-9 and 210 pounds.

He had brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a black jacket, white shirt, blue jeans and black shoes, police said.
