LOWER MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a man they say punched an E train subway conductor in the face last month at the Spring Street station.

Police released video of the suspect on Tuesday, who's described as standing about 5-foot-8, weighing 160 pounds and seen wearing a gray and black hoodie and light colored jeans.

The 49-year-old conductor was randomly hit in the face when he stuck his head out of the service window as the train stopped at about 9:45 a.m. on Oct. 26.

His assailant then fled the Spring Street station.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit tips online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting information to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
