MIDTOWN — People who attended shows and events at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre may have had their credit card information exposed after a year-long data breach, MSG announced Tuesday.

The breach may have exposed customers who used food and beverage vendors from Nov. 9, 2015 through Oct. 24, 2016, according to the company. The potential hack did not involve cards used on the MSG website, the box office or Ticketmaster.

“After MSG was notified that payment card issuing banks identified a transaction pattern indicating a potential data security concern, MSG immediately commenced an investigation and engaged leading computer security firms to examine its network,” the company said in a statement.

“Potentially affected customers are advised to remain vigilant by regularly reviewing their payment card statements for any unauthorized activity. Customers should immediately report any unauthorized charges to their card issuer because payment card rules generally provide that cardholders are not responsible for unauthorized charges reported in a timely manner.”

MSG added that it "fixed the issue," and customers should feel safe to use their cards at the venues.

Potentially affected customers can also call MSG at 844-319-9619 for further information.

The NYPD did not have any immediate information on the breach.
