MORRISANIA — A woman died in a cooking accident in her Webster Houses apartment Sunday afternoon, NYPD officials said.

The 53-year-old woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, was burned inside the apartment at 1270 Webster Ave., near East 169th Street, about 3:47 p.m., police said.

She was found unconscious and badly burned in her bathroom, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene and the city's medical examiner will determine her cause of death, police said.

Her boyfriend and her boyfriend's son were also in the apartment, but weren't injured, an NYPD spokesman said.

Fire marshals said the fire was an accident, officials said.
