WEST VILLAGE — Police have released video of a man who they say sprayed a substance in a woman’s face, then stole her bag before running off.
The 33-year-old woman was walking near Horatio and Greenwich streets Tuesday when the robber approached her about 2:15 a.m., police said late Thursday.
He sprayed her with an unknown substance, grabbed the bag containing more than $220 in cash and fled toward Jane Street, police said.
She was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital for her injuries.
The suspect is about 5-foot-9 and 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
