UPPER WEST SIDE — Broadway between 104th and 102nd streets was closed to southbound traffic Thursday morning following a manhole fire.

The blaze broke out at 103rd Street about 9 a.m. and sent a plume of smoke billowing over Broadway, fire officials said.

It was brought under control around 11 a.m.

The fire was electrical in nature, and Con Ed crews were on scene, the FDNY said.

The exact cause was under investigation.
