LONG ISLAND CITY — Queens residents and elected officials will march over the Queensboro Bridge from Dutch Kills to Trump Tower this Saturday to protest President-elect Donald Trump, who was born in the borough but "does not share our values," organizers said.

The #QueensResponds March, led by City Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer, will kick off at Dutch Kills Green in Queens Plaza at 1 p.m. and end outside of Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue.

"We'll march over the Queensboro Bridge to the Trump Tower to remind Trump that he may have been raised in Queens, but he does not share our values and he isn't from here anymore," Van Bramer said in an email announcing the event.

Trump was born and spent his earliest years in Jamaica Estates. His childhood home is currently for sale.

Saturday's march follows a "community speak out" hosted by the Van Bramer in Sunnyside Thursday night, which drew more than 700 people who gathered to discuss and organize in the wake of the election, according to the lawmaker.

Marchers are encouraged to bring their own signs, Van Bramer's office said.

Anti-Trump protests have sprung up across the city since Election Day, with students staging walkouts and thousands rallying in the streets to denounce the president-elect's win.
