BROOKLYN — Police have released an image of a man who they say punched a woman several times in the face at a Midwood subway stop last week.

The man attacked the 34-year-old woman in the stairwell at the Avenue M Q-train stop Nov. 10 about 8 a.m., the NYPD said.

She suffered swelling to the face and a cut to the hand but refused medical attention.

It was unclear what sparked the violence, police said.

The suspect is described as about 25-to-30 years old, 5-foot-4 and 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a gray baseball cap, jeans and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
