UPPER WEST SIDE — One man was critically injured and another treated for minor injuries after a box truck hit them on Amsterdam Avenue and fled the scene Tuesday morning, an NYPD spokesman said.

They were crossing westbound over Amsterdam Avenue near West 84th Street about 4:50 a.m. when the box truck, heading north up the avenue, hit them, police said.

The truck fled the scene and investigators didn't immediately locate the driver, police said.

One 25-year-old man was critically injured and treated at St. Luke's hospital, police said.

The other man,  who is 36, was treated for minor injuries at the scene, police said.
