HELL’S KITCHEN — A drunk man in a navy uniform punched a woman in the face after trying to kiss her on the street, the NYPD said.
The 31-year-old Hell’s Kitchen resident was walking east on West 51st Street, near Ninth Avenue, around 1 a.m. on Nov. 12 when a man in a navy uniform who appeared to be drunk came “out of nowhere” and tried to kiss her, police said.
After the woman backed up to avoid him, the man punched her in the face, the NYPD said.
The attacker followed the woman as she ran away, but fled after she stopped a car on West 51st Street and asked for help, police said.
The woman wasn’t injured by the attack, and no one had been arrested in connection with the incident as of Monday, police said.
