TIMES SQUARE — National Geographic is bringing a virtual ocean to the Crossroads of the World.

National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey” will take visitors on an “immersive” adventure through the ocean — from the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific to the California coastline — when the exhibit opens at 226 W. 44th St., between Seventh and Eighth avenues, next fall, National Geographic Partners said in a release.

The 60,000-square-foot space will allow its guests to interact with virtual dolphins, sea lions and rays and “come face-to-face with fascinating ocean creatures including humpback whales, Humboldt squids and great white sharks,” the release said.

The visual effects team behind “Game of Thrones” and the Martin Scorsese film “Hugo” is part of the creative team designing the exhibit, according to the release.

“[The exhibit] brings National Geographic’s long-standing belief in the power of storytelling to life in a deeply experiential way,” National Geographic Partners’ CEO Declan Moore said in a statement.

“Audiences will come away entertained and inspired with a greater understanding of the mysteries of the world’s oceans and marvel at the creatures that inhabit them," he added.

There will be no live animals on site at the exhibit, a spokesperson noted.
