QUEENS — An 11-year-old boy was critically injured after being struck by an SUV in Flushing Monday afternoon, officials said.
The boy was crossing south on Willets Point Boulevard near 148th Street when a 60-year-old woman driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee hit him at about 3:04 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The boy was taken to Elmhurst Hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials added.
The driver remained on the scene and there were no initial charges, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
