EAST VILLAGE — The Kati Roll Company will hand out its signature dish for free on Wednesday to celebrate the chain's new East Village outpost's grand opening.

Fans of the Indian street food chain can come to the eatery's newest location at 128 Second Ave. between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. that day for free kati rolls — warm paratha flatbread stuffed with marinated meats, veggies, cheeses and Indian spices.

Customers who come by during the two-hour window will be able to choose one of two varieties of the rolls for free — a Chicken Tikka roll with grilled chicken marinated in yogurt and spices, or a vegetarian Aloo Masala roll, with spicy mashed potatoes, tomatoes, and green peppers.

Paying customers can choose from an extensive menu of kati rolls, including the new Kosha Mangsho roll, featuring slow-cooked pulled goat meat with spices, red onions, bird-eye chiles, and lime juice.

The East Village outpost will be the restaurant's fourth Manhattan location to open since the eatery premiered in Greenwich Village in 2002. It also has one location in London.

The company plans to expand to more than 40 locations nationwide by 2020, including new spots in New York City, according to a representative, who said the company is planning a new Upper West Side location near Columbia University.
