NEW SPRINGVILLE — A popular Tottenville Italian restaurant plans to open a New Springville outpost in a long-vacant storefront by the end of the year.

The owners of Angelina's Ristorante plan to bring a second location — dubbed Angelina's Kitchen — to the former Bonefish Grill space at 280 Marsh Ave., owner Vincent Malerba announced.

"Our goal for Angelina's Kitchen is to create an authentic, Italian experience the entire family can enjoy," he said. "Though the price point will be lower than that of Angelina's, the quality of ingredients will remain the same. Even our chef will be imported from Italy."

Malerba said he expects the location to open its doors in the first week of December.

The original Angelina's opened inside a three-story mansion at 398 Ellis St. in 2008 and was given a score of "very good to excellent" by the Zagat guide.

The new restaurant will take over the 6,000-square-foot space that's been vacant since Bonefish Grill abruptly shut its doors in 2014.
